All things race car

So, on a whim last night we watched Speed Racer. I enjoyed it way more than I had expected. I'm not sure if I actually liked watching the movie or if I just liked watching Ian watch the movie. He has been talking Speed Racer race cars ever since.

On the way to church this morning he wanted to know what my cars name is and on the way home he wants to know if my car can climb ice cliffs like Speed Racer's did.

In sacrament meeting, he informed us that the church had turned into a white race car like Speed Racer's, only bigger, big enough to carry all of these people. How would that be for mass transportation? Fancy race car that carries 400.

And she's sitting

Molly seems to just wake up one morning and do new things. It seems like I remember Ian doing a bit more practicing. So, today she's sitting on her own. Maybe she just needed something interesting to sit for. Ian's drum concert seemed to fit the bill.

Hand-me-downs get lots of wear

Molly has been enjoying all of the clothes that Heather passed on to us. She seemed particularly happy with the blue velvet outfit. I think she must have been relieved not to be wearing pink again. Amazingly enough, I really like to dress her in pink.

Ian also found that he enjoyed this particular outfit.
He couldn't resist trying the hat on. He announced that it was his "working man" hat and wore it to fix things with his tools.

Hallie was here this week (Aug. 15 - 18) and she had to wear the hat too.
