Recently Matt and I have been feeling like we needed to beef up our food storage, so when we ran into a girl selling Thrive food and shelf reliance shelf we were interested. I went to her party (it is a direct sales company). I was super impressed. The freeze dried foods were excellent in quality and after some comparison shopping I found almost always cheaper and sometimes a LOT cheaper then any other local source. We decided to purchase some and when it arrived we really liked it. So much so that we decided that I would become a consultant. Niels and Christi were my first order (thanks for your support!) I have thought about direct sales before but they always seemed to be a rip off for everyone. This is actually a product people would buy anyways at a great price and consultant/host benefits are good. I chose to do this because I don’t feel like anybody is getting ripped off.
We don’t want to pressure anyone but if you are curious about it, we are having a party. You can come sample the food and get more info on Thursday April 22 at 6:30 at our house. Let me know if you want to come and I will send you an e-vite. If you are interested in throwing your own party I would be happy to do that too. The host benefits are great.

The thing we like is that there are a lot of different options that make using/rotating your food storage possible (mangoes, pineapples, green beans, corn, etc). House
So it seems we have sold the house. There are still inspections, etc. to deal with, but we are happy things have gone smoothly so far. It is sort of sad to get the house looking really good, only to sell it. We will miss it.

Asphalt Ventures
For those who are interested, here's some video of me (and friend/instructor Ashraf sometimes in the passenger seat). I was "signed off" to drive without an instructor, meaning I have progressed from novice to intermediate to advanced to solo in only 6 track days. The new nicest thing anyone has said about me is: "for someone with your experience level, you're pretty da[rn] fast."
Out of gas as GT-R screams by. (Yes, it is embarrassing to run out of gas on track, but in my defense, the gauge doesn't work with the fuel sloshing around violently. Also, you get about 6 mpg and it kinda sneaks up on you.)
I think I like the camera on my helmet better.

What I've been doing this week
Okay so I never post... so here is a look at the two thing I did this week that I think is cool.
1. I cooked dinner. Specifically I made this:
Baked Rigatoni with tiny meatballs. I made everything other than the noodles. The recipe is available here. It took a while and made a 9x13 pan but it was pretty good.
2. I installed a new ceiling fan... thank mom and dad for the very belated christmas present, or at least the method to purchase the fan... Here it is in action.
By the way I am still looking for volunteers to help with tiling a room at my house...
